A Longing for the Sea...

A longing for some time at the ocean prompted me to paint this sweet little table in CeCe Caldwell's Nantucket Spray. I can just see the cottage in my mind, smell the ocean, and imagine sitting in a comfy chair with a good book... and setting my morning coffee on this.  Ahhh... longing..

I call this color Hennessey Hay:  It is equal parts Cinco Bayous Moss and Texas Prarie.  The back panel is done in Vintage White.  A gentleman walked by while I was painting it in the store and asked "Why don't I smell paint fumes?" Because there are none with CeCe's all natural paints!!

CeCe Caldwell's luscious line-up will be available on Monday at The Parker Shoppes.... time to break out those old projects you have put off becuase you didn't want to sand or prime.  With CeCe's, you can pretty much just get straight to the fun stuff!

What Can You Do with a Couple of Samples and a Couple of Hours?

This is one sample pot of CeCe Caldwell's Spring Hill Green, and one sample pot of CeCe's Clear Wax.  One square of fabric.  One brush, and one piece of cheesecloth.  See what you can turn this into in just a few hours...

Add one garage sale chair...

Sorry for the blurry pic!  Here's a more clear one... shows the condition of the chair;)

Add two coats of paint.  Wait for them both to dry.  Take an old, damp washcloth and "distress" your chair wherever you want it to look aged.  Add one coat of clear wax.  Staple the fabric to the seat and reattach... and voila!

New Colors of CeCe Caldwell's!

I am getting 13 new colors of  CeCe Caldwell's beautiful paints today!  I can't wait to pop the cans open!  I will let you know when they will be in the stores.... it should be this coming week.

UDATE:  I just heard from the shipping company that my pallet will not be delivered until Monday:(  I am bummed... but good things come to those who wait!
